The core of the financial system design was a challenge presented to MSI by their Group president. Their current distribution accounting system was cumbersome, difficult to understand, and extremely expensive to maintain. Our mandate was to develop a first-class accounting system with all the versatility and function of their current system at a fraction of their current operating costs. Our financial team introduced Sage Accpac ERP and within a matter of months, customer orders and automatically generated purchase orders were fully functional as an integral tool of the Customer Service group. Almost immediately, credit policies were being monitored and operationally supported, and the Controllers group had the ability to examine financial and operational data with new state-of-the-art tools and reports.

 

With all the success of the financial system team, the Technical Services group of MSI was given the task of designing a robust, cost-sensitive network system with high-end remote technology equipment, off-site Disaster Recovery, and a dazzling array of communication and virus management appliances. Each piece of the puzzle was specifically engineered to virtually guarantee zero down-time and maximum information management support. The system had to be capable of remotely supporting multiple offices in different states and a growing number of individual remote users throughout North America. As important as maintaining the user's ability to access data from within the system, adherence to strict corporate auditing standards with regard to security and procedural management was paramount.

 

Today, the client enjoys a highly-tuned Sage Accpac ERP distribution accounting system and a Dell and SonicWALL partnership supporting their network infrastructure and their communication and security needs.
